It's Friday, which means it's time to start planning something fun for the next couple of days. The weather has cooled but it is still warm enough to enjoy being outdoors. Here are five outdoor activities to do this weekend.

1. Find a scenic spot for a picnic

Embrace the end of National Picnic Week (16th to 25th June) by visiting a picnic spot with a scenic view and some delicious summer recipes, including making your own elderflower cordial to enjoy the British countryside this weekend. 

2. Go rock pooling

For fun summer activity, head to the seaside to hunt for crabs and other sea creatures in rock pools. Learn how to identify crabs and introduce your family to the exciting side of ecology.
