Revealed: winner of Countryfile Magazine's 'Harvest, wild and farmed' photo contest
Last month, we asked for your photos of autumn fruits, hedgerow berries, farm produce and other images that capture the beauty of the wild and farmed harvest. We were inundated with some impressive entries, and you have chosen ‘Time for a Break’, by Andy Peek as your favourite.
Andy lives in a small village called Creswell, which is famous for the Creswell Crags in Derbyshire.
Andy told us how he captured the winning image: "With all the amazing places around where I live you might be shocked that this picture was taken in my garden! We have lots of lavender and when I looked outside I had lots of bees buzzing around. I got my camera, popped on my macro lens and went to sit with them for a few hours.
Just as I was packing up this bee looked as if he had been hard at work, he was twice the size of the other bees and was just sat having a break, he sat there for a few minutes did a pose and then he was off."
Well done, Andy!
Our new photo contest theme is Autumn Nature: submit your entries here.
