Revealed: winner of Countryfile Magazine's Joys of a Country Christmas photo contest
Christmas seems like such a long time ago now, but last month we asked for your photos of frosty winter scenes, Christmas trees, wreaths, mouthwatering food, homemade decorations, frosty gardens, winter walks and Christmas markets – images that really capture the essence of a country Christmas. There were some impressive entries, and you have chosen ‘It could be white’ by Ronald Sanderson as your favourite.
Ronald is from Llandovery in Camarthenshire.
Ronald told us how he captured his winning image: "After a fall of snow two years ago, we went for a car ride, looking for a likely picture as I love landscapes. We travelled north to a village called Cynghordy...then travelled west towards Cilycwm for a few miles. We topped a hill and started down the other side. It was then we saw a beautiful view. The stormy clouds were passing, and the sun peeked through, lighting the foreground. I carefully set up the camera, and this was the result."
Well done, Ronald!
