Choccywoccydoodah, Brighton
This amazingly original shop/boudoir cafe focuses on the presentation of chocolate, using only the finest Belgian chocolate. The shop creates giant chocolate sculptures and cakes and intricately decorated bitesize choccies. Their pint of hot chocolate should be illegal it’s so rich and delicious.

Artisan du Chocolat, London, Birmingham and Manchester
Based in London, Birmingham and Manchester, this extravagant chocolate shop is ultra modern and has a vast collection of sweet delights. This chocolatier is one of the very few British chocolate makers who produce chocolate  from ground cocoa beans instead of buying in already made couverture. Beaulieu Chocolate Studio, Beaulieu, Hampshire
Carrying on the village’s tradition of chocolate making, this small shop has big ideas, and big chocolate. You can watch the sweet treats being created before your very eyes at the shop window. The Old Fire Station Chocolate Shop, Taporley, Cheshire
A chocolate and coffee shop located in the pretty village of Taporley, that boasts truffles, fudge, icecream and there’s even chocolate suitable for diabetics. There’s also a cafe next door serving many treats from the shop, scones, sandwiches and soup, and they even have crayons and toys for children. And yes, it is in an old fire station. Jules James was born and raised in Crickhowell, he moved to Canada but now he’s back, promising to put Wales on the world map for chocolate with his Black Mountain Gold. His unusual truffles include Lemon Pepper, Gin and Bitter Lemon and local Penderyn Whisky. Black Mountain Gold also runs chocolate making workshops if you want to recreate the magic at home.
