Bekonscot Model Village and Railway – Advertisement

Bekonscot Model Village & Railway is the world’s oldest original model village. With 90 years of history, huge model railway, and finely detailed model buildings Bekonscot is a great day out for everyone.
Stuck in a 1930s timewarp, seven individual villages are nestled within 1.5 acres of immaculate gardens. Our historic gauge 1 model railway winds its way around the village for 8.5 scale miles with up to 10 classic locos running at any one time.
Our Education Centre provides an opportunity for visitors to find out more about the history and maintenance of Bekonscot and its many inhabitants. The Centre also provides an opportunity for visitors of all ages to experience life during the 1930s through role play, displays and interactive exhibits. Children’s workshops take place during the holidays with curriculum linked school sessions held during term time.
Facilities include 7¼”” narrow gauge light railway*, remote controlled boats*, kiddie rides*, pirate water feature* *Small extra charge for these.
Tea Room, Ice Cream Parlour, Souvenir and Gift shop. Playground, rain shelters and picnic areas.
