BBC History Magazine’s festival is returning this autumn to the ancient hilltop town of Malmesbury in Wiltshire for its biggest event yet! This year, from Thursday 15 – Sunday 18 October, almost 40 leading historians and authors will share their passion for the past with fellow history lovers. There will also be special events throughout the festival such as the Big Debate on Saturday night, an unmissible History Quiz and a selection of one-on-one In Conversation sessions with some of the world’s top historians.
Building on the success of the past two years the festival is making its debut to the historic city of York for three days from Friday 25 to Sunday 27 September. The beautiful Merchant Adventurers’ Hall, one of the most important buildings in medieval York, will play host to 15 speakers – Bettany Hughes, Michael Wood, Alison Weir and Ian Kershaw among them.
Tickets are selling fast and we are delighted to be able to offer our readers special prices to attend both weekends. That means you can buy tickets for as little as £6 to hear some of the world’s top historians share their passion for the past with fellow history lovers.
