Drought spreads to Yorkshire


The Environment Agency has already declared drought in South East England and East England, and also state that parts of East and South Yorkshire are now officiall affected.


They go on to say that public water supplies should not be affected, as reservoir levels are at a normal rate, but lower river and and groundwater levels may affect businesses and farmers who source their water from rivers. Yorkshire Water said it did not anticipate any restrictions such as hosepipe bans for the time being. Find out more about the drought here.
