One of the BBC's most popular programmes, Countryfile airs weekly on BBC One and reports on rural, agricultural and environmental issues in the UK.

Launched in 1988, Countryfile replaced the long-running show Farming with the aim of covering a broader view of the countryside. John Craven is the show's most long-standing presenter, working on the programme for more than 30 years after joining the show the following year.

Regular presenters also include Matt Baker, Anita Rani, Ellie Harrison, Tom Heap and Adam Henson. Plus, Sean Fletcher, Adrian Chiles, Hamza Yassin, Joe Crowley, Helen Skelton, Charlotte Smith, Margherita Taylor and Steve Brown also appear on the show.

Here is our weekly TV guide to Countryfile, including what's coming up on the show and what time it airs on BBC one.

Who are the Countryfile presenters this Sunday?

Hamza Yassin, Sammi Kinghorn, Adam Henson and Joe Crowley are the main presenters on Countryfile this week.

What is on BBC Countryfile this week?

From the blooming gardens of RHS Wisley in Surrey, Hamza Yassin and Sammi Kinghorn celebrate one of nature’s heroes – the not-so-humble bee!

Hamza gets a beginner's beekeeping course from RHS Wisley’s resident beekeeper. He then heads into the lab with a researcher studying the microbiome of honeybee hives to better understand what indicates a healthy beehive. He also meets a multidisciplinary artist and sculptor installing one of his latest artworks, which aims to provide a new nesting habitat for solitary bees.

Sammi has a close look at some early season bumblebees and discovers their favourite nectar sources, recording data for national biodiversity research. She visits a nearby community garden with a bee-friendly ethos and learns how best to look after solitary bees, as well as meeting a honeybee rescuer nursing a swarm back to health.

With his apple trees currently in bloom in his orchard, Adam Henson is buzzing to plant some wildflower seeds and learn how helping bees can deliver a bumper crop of apples.

Joe Crowley investigates the controversy over a pesticide that can be deadly to bees.
