Best-kept secret hotels – the awards has just published its  2012 Best Kept Secret Awards . This comprises 11 awards from best hotel with a garden to comfiest bed, Best Breakfast and Best View.


A total of 3000 hotels were nominated by the public and then the panel of judges, made up of hotel experts and specialist media partners, sifted through shortlists to pick the most deserving winners.


Countryfile Magazine editor Fergus Collins was lucky enough to be a judge in the Best Gardens category, where the wonderful gardens at Bodysgallen Hotel in North Wales took first prize – see above.
