One of the BBC's most popular programmes, Countryfile airs weekly on BBC One and reports on rural, agricultural and environmental issues in the UK.
Launched in 1988, Countryfile replaced the long-running show Farming with the aim of covering a broader view of the countryside. John Craven is the show's longest-standing presenter, working on the programme for more than 35 years after joining the show in 1989.
Regular presenters also include Matt Baker, Anita Rani, Tom Heap and Adam Henson. Plus, Sean Fletcher, Hamza Yassin, Joe Crowley, Charlotte Smith, Margherita Taylor, Vick Hope and Steve Brown also appear on the show.
Here is our weekly TV guide to Countryfile, including what's coming up on the show and what time it airs on BBC One.

What is on BBC Countryfile this week?
In this week's episode, Anita Rani continues her road trip along England's east coast, stopping to explore West Mersea in Essex and the county's oyster industry. Oysters have been harvested along the Essex coastline for more than 2,000 years, cultivated in the creeks around Mersea Island. Over the decades, oyster farming has adapted to changing environmental conditions and the arrival of the non-native Atlantic rock oyster.
To experience what oyster harvesting is like today, Anita heads out into the brackish waters to meet the people farming oysters. She also meets the team investigating how the non-native Atlantic rock oyster is affecting the local ecosystem and whether it could play a role in helping coastal habitats respond to rising sea levels. Along the way, Anita looks back through the Countryfile archives at the people and projects shaping life around our coastline.
What was on BBC Countryfile last week?
In last week's episode, Anita Rani begins a four-part journey along England’s east coast, exploring the wildlife, landscapes and communities adapting to life on the edge of the sea.

With rising sea levels putting increasing pressure on coastal habitats, Anita discovers an innovative conservation project using retired Thames barges to help protect the island’s future. She also meets the volunteers working to safeguard vulnerable ringed plover nests using a simple but effective solution.
Anita also delves into the Countryfile archives to revisit some of the projects helping to create more space for nature to thrive..
