National treasure Alan Titchmarsh is selling his beloved Hampshire home – and as you’d expect from a Gardeners’ World presenter, the gardens are simply picturesque.
The Grade II-listed house dates from the late 17th century and is tucked away in the quiet village of Holybourne. Sympathetic renovations have been carried out to modernise it while still retaining original features.

Manor Farm House sits within four acres of land, which consist of a formal garden, kitchen garden, wildflower meadows and a large pond. A figure of Humphry Repton, a landscape designer widely regarded as the successor to Capability Brown, also overlooks the terrace garden – with Country Life reporting that it is to remain at the house.
But it’s not just the outside that has us checking our bank balances – inside, you’ll find a vaulted 16th century wine cellar, a farmhouse kitchen (complete with AGA) and a cosy library area.
Talking to Country Life, Titchmarsh revealed that he and his wife plan to downsize. So if you’re a keen gardener who fancies taking on an extraordinary opportunity, the house has been launched onto the market through Savills in Farnham at a guide price of £3.95 million.
