The royals are often photographed together, and when they are you can see just how much of a height difference there is between them - with particularly one towering above them.
Prince William is notably tall. In fact, some royal commentators believe that, when he is actually crowned, he may become one of the tallest British monarchs in history.
How tall is Prince William?
Prince William stands at 1.91m (6ft 3in), making him the tallest member of the British royal family. It makes him 14cm (5in) taller than the average British male - although this measurement varies depending on age.
Prince Harry is the next tallest Royal at 1.88m 6ft 2in. However, they both tower over King Charles, who is 1.78m (5ft 10in), and who was the same height as Princess Diana. In fact, Catherine, the Princess of Wales is only marginally shorter than King Charles, standing at 1.75m (5ft 9in).
Royal correspondents didn't miss reporting on the fact that when Prince William and King Charles greeted French president Emmanuel Macron at Windsor Castle in July 2025, Macron was seen remarking on Prince William’s height. King Charles replied, saying: “He is very tall. He’s six foot one.” William then interrupted, correcting the duo: “Actually, I’m six foot three,” he is believed to have said.
