Queen Victoria secured the future of The Crown at a time where the role of sovereign was being questioned.
And the proliferation of photography during her reign meant that the public could see images of their monarch for the first time, rather than relying on copies of paintings.
But the height of Queen Victoria is often what shocked people the most.

How tall was Queen Victoria?
Queen Victoria was 4ft 11in, which places her among some of the shortest British royals in history – and shorter than Queen Elizabeth II.
In a photo of a re-enactment of their marriage ceremony, Victoria is noticeably shorter than Albert – although he appears to have been of average height.
It was remarked in historical records that she had a strong presence and poise, which may have made her seem taller than she was.
Though she was petite, she was a powerful and imposing political figure, and her work to restore the image of the Royal Family (after it was tarnished after the extravagance of her uncles) secured the future of generations to come.
