When the Royal Family are photographed together, height differences are often striking – particularly with Prince William, who visibly towers over many around him.
His wife, Catherine, the Princess of Wales, is tall too, standing at 1.75m (5ft 9in). She's taller than the average British woman, and only marginally shorter than King Charles. The couple's height contributes to the tall, athletic appearance of the younger generation of British royals.

Princess Diana and her two sons are often credited as getting their height from the Spencer line of the family. While the height of Diana's father, Edward John Spencer, isn’t widely known, photos suggest he may have been taller than average.
Diana’s siblings are tall, with her younger brother the 9th Earl Spencer (Charles Spencer), reported to be around 1.91m (6ft 3in).
