Hamza's Hidden Wild Isles: All you need to know about the new BBC TV series

Hamza Yassin's new BBC TV series showcases the hidden beauty and wonder of the UK's wildlife

Wildlife camera operator Hamza Yassin has spent the past year travelling up and down the British Isles to reveal the hidden wonders that occur on on our island nation. There's plenty of action to be discovered – if you know where to look, that is.

Speaking as part of a BBC press pack, Hamza said: "British wildlife is often overlooked because we’re such a small island compared to the rest of the world, but in my opinion we have just as good, if not better, wildlife in the UK...

"I really hope whoever's watching this series thinks about how wonderful the natural world is around us, how accessible it can be to all of us. You can see wildlife everywhere - if you're in the middle of a city centre you can see wildlife, in the Hebrides you can see wildlife, if you're in a cave you can see wildlife."
