Considered one of the most indulged pets in White House history, FDR's dog, Fala, a Scottish Terrier, enjoyed a life of luxury.

He slept in a special chair at the foot of FDR's bed, received a daily bone on the president's breakfast tray, and was adored not only by FDR but also by White House staff. He even received his own fan mail and accompanied the President on trips all over the world.

Helmsley bequeathed a staggering $12 million to her beloved four-legged friend, which was just as well, because maintaining the dog's exquisite appearance required an annual expenditure of $8,000 on grooming alone. Trouble also had the luxury of a full-time bodyguard, and an annual budget of $1,200 was allocated for the dog.

While many celebrities, such as Missy Elliot and Lady Gaga, are known for pampering their pets with designer outfits, Paris Hilton’s little teacup chihuahua takes the biscuit – she’s been given her own book!

Tinkerbell showcased her literary flair by "ghost-writing" The Tinkerbell Hilton Diaries: My Life Tailing Paris Hilton.

She looks the part too, with Paris Hilton dressing her in pink Chanel sweaters, Louis Vuitton puppy slippers, and her preferred mode of transportation: being stylishly carried around in Hilton's purse or in a blanket.
