Andrew Griffiths
Andrew Griffiths is an environment and angling writer and podcaster. He writes for publications in the UK and USA, including BBC Countryfile Magazine, BBC Wildlife Magazine, and Gray’s Sporting Journal in the States. He records ‘Sound Escapes’ and ‘Plodcasts’ for Countryfile Magazine. An early formal education in molecular biology forms the foundation for a great passion in rivers which began with fly fishing and a fascination with the fly life of a river. This has led to a deeper interest in entomology and involvement in the Riverfly Partnership river sampling scheme, which helps monitor water quality in the UK’s rivers. He is happiest when dabbling in the rivers and moors of his Peak District home, talking to and writing about the people who make these upland landscapes their own.
