Matt Baker
Matt Baker grew up on a sheep farm in the Durham Dales and has the countryside in his blood. When he began his TV career as a Blue Peter presenter he only lasted six months living in the city before moving out to the Chilterns, where he still lives with his wife and children. He had early success as a gymnast and has added to his many achievements during his presenting career including the Olympics, Sports Relief, raising £1.5million riding a rickshaw from Edinburgh to London for Children in Need and hosting all Gymnastics Grand Prix. He has won two BAFTAS and an RTS during his career. Matt first appeared on Countryfile in 2008 and has been presenting The One Show since 2011. Whenever he’s not busy filming he likes to get stuck in helping his parents on the family farm.
