Christina's discovery
Christina, living in the UK, always felt like the "odd one out" in her family and a line from her mother kept spinning around in her head: "You're not the milkman's, you're the sailor's."
That's until she took a MyHeritage DNA test she purchased in the ongoing Black Friday sale, confirming her suspicions: her biological father was a sailor and Marine Commando named Ray!
Christina also discovered she had seven half-siblings and ties to William the Conqueror.
Alison's unexpected match
Meanwhile, on the other side of the world in Australia, Alison, adopted as a baby, had spent her life longing to find her birth mother.
With her MyHeritage DNA subscription just about to expire, she received an unexpected match: her first cousin, Christina. "When I received a message from her, I was completely blown away," said Alison.
A life-changing connection

Once Christina and Alison reconnected it led to an even more emotional discovery. Christina realised Alison was the adopted daughter of her beloved Auntie Madeleine who'd always wished to find her long lost daughter. At being reunited, Madeleine said she was "over the moon."
The cousins now feel more like sisters and they thank MyHeritage for helping them both "find answers and a sense of belonging."
