Simple and effective, this all-natural cleaning spray can be used to clean bathroom and kitchen areas and sinks. It’s a great activity for families, but be sure to supervise children during the making and use of the spray at all times. Store out of reach from children.
You Will Need
- a clean jar
- a clean spray bottle
- white vinegar
- a lemon
- sprigs of fresh rosemary
Pour one cup of white vinegar into a clean, dry jar with a lid. To reduce packaging even further, you can buy white vinegar in bulk online, from some supermarkets or from zero-waste stores.
Peel all the rind from the lemon, removing as much white pith as possible, and drop the peel into the vinegar. Add two to three sprigs of rosemary, then shake. Cover and leave to infuse for 10–14 days.
Strain the vinegar, discarding the peel and rosemary. Pour it into a clean, dry spray bottle, then add an equal quantity of water. Shake well. Label your bottle and store it out of young children’s reach.
Before using the cleaner, test it on an inconspicuous area; avoid using vinegar-based cleansers on marble, stone or granite surfaces. Use your spray to clean bathroom and kitchen areas and sinks.
