If you're a keen wildlife fan, then Hannah Stitfall will be a familiar face. But who is she and how did she get into filmmaking?

Who is Hannah Stitfall?

Hannah Stitfall is an RTS nominated British wildlife filmmaker, producer, presenter and author. She's best known for presenting on the BBC's The One Show, Springwatch, Winterwatch and BBC Earth and shares her filmmaking and wildlife content on her social media platforms. She has also written a book titled Wild Treasures: A Year of Extraordinary Encounters With Cornwall's Wildlife and hosts the Greenpeace podcast Oceans: Life Under Water.

Hannah has worked in the wildlife filmmaking industry since 2018. She studied Zoology at university, gaining a first class degree, then went on to complete a master's degree in Wildlife Filmmaking at UWE Bristol. She has a particular passion for bringing environmental issues to new audiences through her digital platforms, as well as more traditional media.

How long has Hannah presented Springwatch?

Hannah has been the digital presenter for BBC Two's Springwatch (and Winterwatch) since 2020. She'll be presenting the digital programme “Watch Out!” where she shares exclusive behind-the-scenes wildlife footage, answers viewer questions and will be joined by an array of special guests live from location. This year, the programme will go out live twice a week at 9pm across the BBC Springwatch social platforms and on BBC iPlayer.
