Easy Camp is part of Danish company Oase Outdoors, who also own Robens and Outwell. Easy Camp have been seeking to provide practical camping equipment at budget-friendly prices since 1997. This sleeping bag is too big for backpacking but would make a comfortable and budget-friendly addition to your car or van camping kit.

First impressions

This sleeping bag fits snuggly into its bag and is of a reasonably compact size compared to some in this price range. The softness of its inner and outer fabric is immediately noticeable, both having the comforting feel of a home sleep system. If you like your camp sleeps to feel as much like home sleeps as possible, this could be the sleeping bag for you.

How warm is the bag?

With a comfort temperature rating of 7°C, this isn’t a sleeping bag for colder conditions, but it does offer a comfortable night’s sleep on warm summer nights and has plenty of room inside for additional clothing. The hood and front can be cinched in with a drawstring and the zip baffle is generous and soft. With no shoulder baffle, this sleeping bag may be draughtier than some. On warmer nights, it can be opened fully to make a quilt.

How comfortable?

If you prefer to sleep in minimal clothing and want soft fabric against your skin, this could well be a good choice. With its comfortable additional features such as a soft fabric zip guard, this sleeping bag really does invite you inside and it shouldn't feel sticky on a hot night. With a rectangular shape and generous width, it offers plenty of wriggle room for active sleepers, but it might not be long enough for everybody.

Is the down responsibly sourced?

This sleeping bag does not contain down.

Sustainability?

This sleeping bag is made in China. It is PFC free. Oase Outdoors are working to reduce their emissions and they utilise a range of innovative carbon removal methods to balance the CO2 they do emit.

Are other versions available?

The Easy Camp Moon 200 also comes in double and junior sizes. The Moon 300 is warmer but has a bigger pack size and weighs more.

Is it good value?

Yes. If you want to camp in the summer and if soft fabrics are important to you, this is a great price for a nicely made sleeping bag.

Best for:

Glamping or campsite camping in summer weather with a touch of at-home luxury.

Similar to:

The Outwell Contour Lux, which has slightly more width as well as a wider temperature range and built in pillow. The Moon 200 however has a more welcoming fabric and packs smaller and lighter than the Contour Lux.
