You’ve heard of selfies, now feast your eyes on felfies: farming selfies.
That latest trend to sweep social media sites, these fun photos of framers and their livestock, tractors and crops are entertaining thousands and helping connect farmers with consumers.
With farming becoming harder and harder, and wider society decreasingly aware of the processes involved in getting food on their plate, this is a great way to put a face to farming.
Last month, the Irish Farming Journal ran a competition called Selfie on the Farm, which was won by PJ Ryan and his cows (above) in County Tipperary.
Selfie became Oxford Dictionaries’ word of the year in 2013, could felfies be next?
To get your felfie fix visit farmingselfies.com, a website set up by Essex farmer Will Wilson that showcases the best felfies from around the world.
