Paul Kirkwood has been exploring, writing about and photographing every corner of Yorkshire since he relocated there in 1994. He has also travelled extensively across northern England and Scotland particularly the islands. A book about his travels by bike up the Outer Hebrides and Shetland and around Orkney is available on Amazon. A keen wild swimmer and camper, he retired from a career in PR in 2020 and is now focusing on further developing his freelance career. He has a particular interest in quirky local history such as follies and other lesser known places with a story behind them.
