This week, John Craven is in Somerset to investigate the mysterious ‘mast’, a strange natural occurrence whereby trees, shrubs and hedgerows all produce a super abundance of fruit. He tries his hand at hedgerow harvests before meeting up with The Wurzels for some cider-drinking. John also looks back at Countryfile’s best autumnal moments.
