One of the longest established customs in the calendar, stretching back over 800 years to remember when Robert de Berkeley donated a water supply and conduit to this beautiful gothic church.

During a 2-mile annual walk through allotments, gardens and a water-maze, the water supply is inspected and tested to ensure it works as well as the day it was gifted to the city.

Be warned, initiates are bumped against a stone along the way.
