LateRooms.com’s annual Best Kept Secret Awards returns for a fifth year, hunting for hidden hotel gems that should no longer be kept a secret. Entries can be made via BestKeptSecretawards.com until 31 August, when judges and travel industry experts will shortlist the properties and pick the eventual winners. Countryfile editor Fergus Collins will be judging the Garden category.

As part of the Best Kept Secret Awards, a wide variety of hotel assets will be recognised, including delectable meals in the Best Breakfast and Best for Dining categories, environmentally friendly features for Best Eco Credentials, stunning vistas in the Best View award and technology wizardry in Best Gadgets. Hotels, B&Bs, and other properties will also get the chance to show off their Best Gardens, Best Interiors and, importantly, the Comfiest Bed and Best Service from staff. Leisure facilities such as Best for Golf and Best Spa will also be recognised for those that like putting or pampering.
