During the week, the charity aims to encourage people to take action to help hedgehogs.
Ideas which could help include: making gardens more accessible; a charity fund-raiser; displaying posters from BHPS; a leaflet drop or making a small donation.
People have also been asked to log any hedgehog sighting on the Big Hedgehog Map to help provide more data hedgehog numbers in the UK.
A petition was also launched at the Hedgehog Summit in the House of Commons in February, in a bid to improve the legal protection for hedgehogs. The petition requires 100,000 signatures by 11 August 2016; the number currently stands at over 30,000.
You can view and sign the petition here.
