The Enchanted Castle
Crathes Castle, Aberdeenshire, 10th – 12th Dec
For three nights only the castle is transformed into a winter wonderland with cutting edge light and sound technology that creates stunning choreographed effects, moods and backdrops. Along the way adults and children will encounter fire breathers, jugglers and wandering magicians. After the gentle walk children will have the opportunity to take part in enchanted craft activities.
The Mousehole Festive Lights
Mousehole, Cornwall, 18th Dec – 3rd Jan
The Carolaire choir will perform on the north quay as this years spectacular Christmas lights are illuminated. As well as displaying traditional festive themes many decorations are based on old local stories and legends such as the enchanting tale of the Mousehole Cat. Watch out on the 23rd December – Tom Bawcock’s Eve, as the famous stargazey pie is cooked and served at the Ship Inn.
Walby Farm’s Live Nativity

Join Nellie the donkey and other animals as Walby Farm bring the nativity story to life. Children will have the opportunity to dress up and take part in the festive fun. Santa’s grotto is also open and awaiting those children who have been well behaved this year.

Journey to Covent Garden and let your little ones feed and pet Father Christmas’s magical reindeer. As well as reindeer petting there will be heartwarming stories told by candlelight along with decoration and puppet making workshops that are all set against the background of festive carol singers.
